The Mountain Companies are actually three distinct operations located in Eastern Kentucky. Mountain Enterprises handles asphalt paving and construction as well as asphalt and aggregate sales. Mountain Materials consists of a group of quarries and a slag plant in the Northeastern part of Kentucky that produce aggregate materials supporting Mountain Enterprises operations, and for sale to the public. Mountain Aggregates consists of two quarries in southeastern Kentucky that produce aggregate materials in support of Mountain Enterprises operations, and for sale to the public. All three companies are headquartered in Lexington, KY, where most support personnel are located. All three companies are part of CRH Americas Materials, based in Atlanta, GA.
